The brainchild of Sir Chico Montagut & Tiko Jackson (aka KiDG), Tiko Disko was conjured up to revisit the glory days of Asian funk, sultry disco & adult-oriented rock. Re-labeled as 'Jizz Funk & Jacuzzi Soul', the music from Tiko Disko will bring you back to a time of uninhibited free love and guilty pleasures, where the cocktail soul of kitschy tea-dances rubbed alongside the psychedelic funk coming from the Asian Agogo bars.

This is the stuff you’d find in bargain bins or at the back of your dad’s record collection, music that's been misunderstood and marginalized for decades. But now it's time to give these good old dirty tunes the love they deserve, and you’ll never be shy to admit to liking them ever again.

Roxy Music - Love Is The Drug (Todd Terje Disco Dub)

Besides dishing out Asian funk, we here at TIKO DISKO also like our disco very much, especially when they are as cosmic-fried as this. A brilliant rework here by the magnificent Todd Terje, this remix retains the spirit and flavor of the original Roxy Music tune, and yet adds on a modern, spacey touch to it. Absolutely stunning.

Tiko Icon Identified: Serge Gainsbourg

Nothing can be bolder, than being openly honest about one’s primal urges on Live TV and recording 4:26 of simulated sex- Twice. Amongst his many infamous sexual provocations throughout his sexy career, French music icon Serge Gainsbourg was best known for having written the heavy-breathing and moaning laden "Je T'Aime… Moi Non Plus” - said to have been first recorded during a session that included some "heavy petting”.

Perhaps the most provocative and socially unrestrained one, would be that one insanely epic moment on a French Talk show in 1986, when the scruffy scoundrel told Whitney Houston in French that he'd love to sleep with her. The host graciously translates to Houston that Gainsbourg thinks she's very beautiful… at which point Gainsbourg switches to English, warning the host that "You are not Reagan, I'm not Gorbachev, so don't try, eh? I said, 'I want to (falala) her.'

More than just epitomize the sexy French archetype, Gainsbourg could probably be credited as the renegade who created it, pushing the boundaries of French music. With his trademark half-talking, half crooning drawl, coupled with his half-lidded eyes and Gitanes, one can’t help but get the impression Gainsbourg songs were like come-ons.

For TIKO DISKO, we’re all about the vibes in the music to fire up da loins.

And this track L'Hotel Particulier looks to be something Tiko Jackson & Sir Chico Montagut might drop on any given Friday night. The year - 1971. The album - Histoire de Melody Nelson - regarded by critics and fans to be Gainsbourg's magnum opus and his most influential release.
